Overton Wins WISSOTA 100 Prelim; Third in Headliner!
(September
17, 2023) Cody Overton drove a Don Shaw-owned machine
from September 13-16 at I-94 EMR Speedway in Fergus Falls,
Minnesota. Things kicked off on Wednesday evening with the
WISSOTA Challenge Series finale, which boasted a $2,500
paycheck. Cody timed in third quickest in his group during
qualifying before securing a victory in his heat race. After
starting fifth on the grid in the 40-lap main event, Cody
was able to climb up to fourth to trail only victor Pat
Doar, Ryan Mikkelson, and Dustin Sorensen.
After posting a tenth place finish in Thursday's
prelim feature, Cody was victorious on Friday night to bag
the $400 payday for his prelim win. The Evans, Georgia ace
then started second on the grid in Saturday's 50-lap WISSOTA
100 headliner, which shelled out a $10,000 first place prize.
Cody hung around the front for the entire distance and was
able to round out the podium in third behind only race winner
Tyler Peterson and runner-up Cole Searing. Complete results

Advances into World 100 Opener at Eldora
(September
10, 2023) The #15k team looked to conquer the world
from September 7-9 in the 53rd edition of the famed 'World
100' at the hallowed grounds of Eldora Speedway in Rossburg,
Ohio. The three-day crown jewel spectacular started with a
pair of split-field, $12,000 to win preliminary programs.
In Thursday's opener, Cody Overton grabbed the third transfer
spot through his heat race before placing twenty-second in
his 25-lap feature. At Eldora in a similar contest on Friday
night, Cody unfortunately narrowly missed out on his 25-lapper
after running sixth in his heat race and third in his B-Main.
When Saturday evening rolled around at the 1/2-mile,
high-banked Buckeye State speedplant, all eyes in the Dirt
Late Model industry were focused on who would emerge victorious
in the 'World 100.' Cody finished seventh in his stacked heat
race prior to placing twenty-third in his B-Main. Unfortunately,
the Evans, Georgia ace was unable to transfer into the $56,000
to win headliner that was ultimately won by Hudson O'Neal.

Top Five
for Cody Overton in The Big One!
(September
4, 2023) Cody Overton, of Evans, Georgia, was back
in action on September 2-3 in 'The Big One' at Cochran Motor
Speedway in Cochran, Georgia. The 602 Late Model special shelled
out a whopping $20,000 first place prize. Cody ran second in
his heat race and later started Sunday's 75-lap headliner from
the inside of the fourth row. "Lil Sexy" was then
able to blast up to the second spot during the course of the
race before slipping to fifth at the checkers to trail only
victor John Ruggiero, Jr., Carson Ferguson, Mark Whitener, and

Eighth in $50k Rumble by the River
(August
27, 2023) Next up on the racing calendar for Bruce Kane
Racing was a trio of Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series throwdowns
in the states of Delaware and Pennsylvania. Up first was the 'Melvin
L. Joseph Memorial' on Thursday night, August 24 at Georgetown
Speedway in Georgetown, Delaware, which boasted an $18,049 payday.
Cody Overton ran seventh in both his heat race and his B-Main,
but was later awarded a fast time provisional to gain access into
the 49-lap main event. Cody then blasted up inside of the top
ten during the contest before eventually settling for a twelfth
place performance.
On August 25-26, the annual running of the 'Rumble
by the River' was held at the sprawling Port Royal Speedway in
Port Royal, Pennsylvania. On Friday evening in his split-field,
$5,000 to win preliminary program, Cody won his heat race in preliminary
action before placing fourth at the unfurling of the checkered
flag in the 25-lapper behind only winner Hudson O'Neal, Rick Eckert,
and Ricky Thornton, Jr. With a whopping $50,000 paycheck up for
grabs in Saturday's grand finale, Cody grabbed the third transfer
spot through his heat race prior to advancing up to finish eighth

Woes Slow Overton at Port Royal
(August
20, 2023) Cody Overton and Bruce Kane Racing traveled
to Port Royal Speedway in Port Royal, Pennsylvania on Saturday
night, August 19 for a Super Late Model special event, which boasted
a $5,000 payday. Cody ran fourth in heat race action and later
rolled off from the inside of the eighth row in the 25-lap main
event. The Evans, Georgia standout then unfortunately broke a
transmission early in the feature distance and retired in the

Narrowly Misses Out on Cherokee Biggie
(August
14, 2023) Cody Overton, of Evans, Georgia, invaded Cherokee
Speedway in Gaffney, South Carolina from August 11-13 for the
'Summer South Sizzler,' which was sanctioned by the American All-Stars
Series. On Friday night during preliminary action, Cody timed
in sixteenth quickest in Group A during the Crate Late Model qualifying
session prior to placing seventh in his loaded heat race. Following
a rain-out on Saturday, Cody ran third in his B-Main on Sunday,
but only the top two runners out of the consolation race transferred
into the $20,000 to win headliner. Unfortunately, he was not able
to take part in the 100-lap main event that was ultimately won

6, 2023) Win six of the 2023 racing season for Cody Overton
came on Saturday night, August 5 at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro,
Georgia! Cody clicked off the quickest time of the 29 Crate Racin'
USA Series entrants during qualifying to earn the pole position
for the 40-lap main event. The Evans, Georgia standout then wired
the feature field by leading every lap to pocket the $5,000 winner's
check ahead of a top five that included runner-up Pearson Lee

July 29 to compete in a $5,000 to win Crate Racin' USA Series
tussle. Cody earned Fast Time honors during the qualifying session
prior to rolling off from the pole position in the 40-lap main
event. The Evans, Georgia standout then led the first eleven circuits
of the contest before a flat left rear tire relegated him to a

24, 2023) Cody Overton and Bruce Kane Racing traveled
to Screven Motor Speedway in Sylvania, Georgia on Saturday night,
July 22 for the annual running of the 'Rebel Yell.' Cody stopped
the clock eighth fastest overall during Schaeffer's Oil Southern
Nationals Series qualifying before running third in heat race
action. After rolling off from the outside of the fourth row in
the $10,053 to win headliner, Cody was eventually scored in the
ninth finishing position following 53 green flag circuits. Sunday's
stop at Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia was then unfortunately

Overton Starts Off on Southern Nationals Grind
(July
17, 2023) Bruce Kane Racing and driver Cody Overton kicked
off the 2023 edition of the Schaeffer's Oil Southern Nationals
over the July 14-16 weekend in a pair of $10,053 to win events
in the states of West Virginia and Virginia. On Friday night in
the opener at Beckley Motor Speedway in Mount Hope, West Virginia,
Cody timed in fifth quickest in Group A during the qualifying
session before grabbing the third transfer spot through his stacked
heat race. After starting the 53-lap feature from the inside of
the fifth row, Cody wound up twelfth in the final finishing order
of the tour opener.
Following a rain-out on Saturday at Wythe Raceway,
the #15k team returned to the Rural Retreat, Virginia speedplant
on Sunday for another $10,053 to win show. Cody posted the thirteenth
fastest lap overall during time trials and later finished fifth
in his heat race. In the 53-lapper, the Evans, Georgia standout
unfortunately suffered terminal motor problems on lap 47, which
dropped him to sixteenth in the final rundown. Complete results

9, 2023) Evans, Georgia standout Cody Overton competed
in a $2,500 to win Southern Clash Late Model Series special at
Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia on Saturday night, July
8. Cody stopped the clock fifth quickest overall during the qualifying
session prior to driving to an impressive podium performance in
the 30-lap main event. He placed third at the checkers behind
only winner Pearson Lee Williams and runner-up Joshua Bishop!

2, 2023) Cody Overton and Bruce Kane Racing stayed in
the Keystone State on June 30 and July 1, as the #15K team was
scheduled to compete in weekly Super Late Model programs at both
Bedford Speedway in Bedford, Pennsylvania and Port Royal Speedway
in Port Royal, Pennsylvania. At Bedford on Friday night, Cody
placed fifth in his heat race prior to advancing all the way up
to fourth in the 25-lap main event to trail only $2,300 victor
Brian Booze, Kyle Lee, and Jeff Rine. Saturday's showdown at Port
Royal Speedway was unfortunately washed out by persistent rain

Overton Runner-Up in Bill Emig Memorial!
(June
25, 2023) Cody Overton competed in both the $50,000 to
win 'Firecracker 100' and the $20,000 to win 'Bill Emig Memorial'
over the June 22-24 extended weekend at Lernerville Speedway in
Sarver, Pennsylvania. In the Super Late Model portion of the weekend,
Cody was unfortunately involved in a hard wreck in Thursday's
prelim feature to finish twenty-first, but rebounded to run twelfth
in Friday's $5,000 to win main event. On Saturday with the big
money on the line, Cody placed fourth in his loaded heat race
before running into problems in his B-Main and unfortunately missing
out on the 100-lap crown jewel headliner.
In RUSH Crate Late Model Series competition at the
4/10-mile speedplant, Cody started off the weekend by laying down
the fastest lap in Group B during time trials on Thursday night.
After winning his heat race and finishing second in the fast dash
on Friday evening, Cody rolled off from the outside of the front
row in Saturday's 50-lap feature. The Evans, Georgia ace then
brought home an impressive runner-up performance in the 'Bill
Emig Memorial' behind only $20,000 victor Max Blair! Complete

$4,000 Lincoln Speedway Win Stripped...
(June
18, 2023) Bruce Kane Racing and driver Cody Overton appeared
to pick up a huge $4,000 Super Late Model victory during Appalachian
Mountain Speedweek on Saturday, June 17 at Lincoln Speedway in
Abbottstown, Pennsylvania. After starting third on the grid in
the 35-lap feature event, Cody grabbed the top spot from early
leader Tyler Emory on the 21st circuit and never looked back.
Unfortunately, Cody's #15k machine was using an illegal suspension
"droop" limiter and was ultimately disqualified in post
race inspection - dropping him to twenty-fourth in the final finishing

(June
11, 2023) Cody Overton, of Evans, Georgia, traveled to
Natural Bridge Speedway in Natural Bridge, Virginia with Bruce
Kane Racing on Saturday evening, June 10 for the running of 'The
Bridge 56.' The American All-Star Series invaded NBS and 41 Crate
Late Model competitors showed up for the $10,000 to win throwdown.
Cody stopped the clock second fastest in Group A during the qualifying
session before running fourth in the fast dash. After rolling
off from the outside of the second row in the 56-lap headliner,
Cody drove up to second to finish an impressive runner-up behind

Owns Virginia Motor Speedway for $5,000 Win!
(June
4, 2023) Bruce Kane Racing and driver Cody Overton captured
their biggest win of the 2023 season on Saturday night, June 3
in the 'Commonwealth Clash' at the state-of-the-art Virginia Motor
Speedway in Jamaica, Virginia! Cody clicked off the third fastest
lap in Group B during Steel Block Bandits qualifying and later
secured a heat race triumph. After starting the 40-lap main event
from the outside of the front row, Cody overtook Dustin Mitchell
for the point on lap seven and held the lead throughout the remainder
of the contest. At the checkers, the Evans, Georgia standout was
celebrating the $5,000 triumph over a top five that included runner-up
Tyler Bare, Tyler Arrington, Brent Robinson, and Derick Quade!
