Overton Invades I-75 Raceway for HTF Opener

(March 9, 2025) The Dave Steine Motorsports team was in the pit area at I-75 Raceway on Saturday night, March 8 for the Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series (HTF) season opener. A strong contingent of 44 Super Late Model competitors piled into the Sweetwater, Tennessee facility to do battle for the $20,000 first place prize money.

Cody Overton knocked down the twelfth fastest lap in Group A during the qualifying session before a flat tire helped relegate him to a sixth place effort in the heat race. After grabbing the second transfer spot through his B-Main, Cody was able to advance five positions during the course of the 50-lapper en route to salvaging a fourteenth place showing. Cody Overton Owns Senoia for $10,053 Triumph!!

(March 3, 2025) Cody Overton claimed his third overall win of the 2025 season on Saturday night, March 1 at Senoia Raceway in Senoia, Georgia! Cody timed in fifth quickest in Schaeffer's Oil Spring Nationals Series qualifying and later picked up a heat race triumph. The Evans, Georgia ace then took the lead from Cory Hedgecock on the third circuit and held the point throughout the remainder of the 53-lap affair. At the checkers, Cody was celebrating a $10,053 triumph ahead of runner-up Ethan Dotson, Ashton Winger, Cory Hedgecock, and Dalton Cook!

In other action over the weekend, the #2 team entered Super Late Model specials at both Swainsboro Raceway in Swainsboro, Georgia on Friday and East Alabama Motor Speedway in Phenix City, Alabama on Sunday. At Swainsboro, Cody grabbed the sixth and final transfer spot through his B-Main and later placed eighteenth in the final finishing order of the $7,553 to win Spring Nationals feature. At EAMS, Cody ran third in his heat race, but trouble during the $10,000 to win headliner dropped him to a twelfth place showing. Overton Sets Fast Time & Wins Heat at Hendry Co.

(February 23, 2025) Fresh off a hectic Speedweeks, Cody Overton returned to racing action on February 21-22 in the annual 'Swamp Cabbage 100' at Hendry County Motorsports Park in Clewiston, Florida. The Crate Racin' USA Dirt Late Model Series presided over the event, which drew 32 entrants to vie for the $15,000 first place prize money.

Driving for Big Frog Motorsports, Cody clicked off the fastest lap overall during qualifying on Friday before securing a victory in his heat race. After rolling off from the pole position in Saturday's 75-lapper, Cody was running in the third spot early in the contest when he unfortunately went for a spin on lap six. The Evans, Georgia standout ultimately retired and settled for a seventeenth place showing. DIRTcar Nationals Wraps Up Busy Speedweeks

(February 15, 2025) The 54th edition of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' and Speedweeks - as a whole - wrapped up tonight at Volusia Speedway Park with a $20,000 to win World of Outlaws Late Model Series extravaganza. Cody Overton ran seventh in his heat race and fifth in his B-Main. After relying on a series emergency provisional and jumping into Jack Riggs' car, Cody salvaged a twenty-eighth place effort in the 50-lap grand finale. (Josh James Artwork)

(February 14, 2025) The penultimate event of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' took place tonight at Volusia Speedway Park and another $12,000 winner's check was on the line for the cars and stars racing with the World of Outlaws Late Model Series. Cody Overton knocked down the seventh quickest lap in Group B during time trials before grabbing the third and final transfer spot through his heat race. At the end of 35 laps in the feature, Cody found himself eighteenth in the final finishing order.

(February 13, 2025) The World of Outlaws Late Model Series season heated back up tonight during the 'DIRTcar Nationals' at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida, as a $12,000 payday was up for grabs. Cody Overton placed fourth in his heat race prior to securing a victory in his B-Main. After starting the 35-lap feature from the inside of the tenth row, Cody streaked past nine competitors on his way to a strong tenth place showing.

(February 12, 2025) Tonight's program at Volusia Speedway Park featured a trio of 20-lap main events, as the 61-car Super Late Model field was split into thirds. Cody Overton stopped the clock eighth fastest in his group during DIRTcar Racing qualifying prior to blasting past six competitors in the A-Main en route to a sterling runner-up effort behind only $5,000 victor and brother Brandon Overton!

(February 11, 2025) Round two of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' took center stage tonight at Volusia Speedway Park and the DIRTcar Racing showdown once again paid $7,000 to the winner. Cody Overton laid down the fastest time in his group during the qualifying session prior to finishing second in his heat race. The Evans, Georgia standout then steered past a trio of racecars during the 25-lap feature on his way to a steady ninth place performance.

(February 10, 2025) The 2025 edition of Speedweeks will conclude this week at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida and night one of the 'DIRTcar Nationals' took place earlier this evening. A total of 51 competitors entered the DIRTcar Racing event to vie for the $7,000 winner's check. Cody Overton posted the fifth fastest lap in his group during qualifying prior to finishing fifth in his heat race and third in his B-Main. Unfortunately, that was one mere position away from a coveted transfer spot into the 25-lap main event, which ran caution-free and was won by Nick Hoffman.

(February 9, 2025) Following a disappointing nineteenth place finish in Friday's $5,000 to win 'Winter Freeze' opener at Screven Motor Speedway, Cody Overton rebounded in a big way on Saturday evening, February 8 at the Sylvania, Georgia oval! Cody clicked off the second quickest lap in Group A during Southern Thunder Super Dirt Series qualifying prior to picking up a heat race victory. After starting from the pole position in the 50-lap headliner, Cody was able to lead each and every circuit to pocket the $15,000 first place prize money ahead of runner-up Ethan Dotson, Zack Mitchell, Michael Brown, and Trent Ivey! (February 1, 2025) Cody Overton, of Evans, Georgia, claimed his first victory of the young 2025 racing season earlier this evening in the 'Stevie Whitener Memorial' at All-Tech Raceway in Ellisville, Florida! Behind the wheel of a #co2 entry for Big Frog Motorsports, Cody laid down the fourth quickest time in his group during 604 Crate Late Model qualifying on Friday evening to earn the sixteenth starting spot in tonight's 40-lap headliner. Lil' Sexy then stormed to the front of the talented field, led the final 26 circuits, and captured the $5,000 first place prize money ahead of runner-up Corey Neil, Jr., Mark Whitener, Austin Yarbrough, and Pearson Lee Williams! Top Ten for Cody Overton in South Georgia Showdown

(January 28, 2025) Following a rain-out on Monday evening at Needmore Speedway, Cody Overton returned to racing action earlier tonight at the Norman Park, Georgia oval. The Hunt the Front Super Dirt Series sanctioned the final night of the 'South Georgia Showdown' and 27 competitors signed into the pit area. Cody went seventh fastest overall during time trials prior to running fifth in his stacked heat race. After starting the $10,000 to win main event from the inside of the seventh row, Cody was able to move up five positions en route to a steady eighth place effort in the 40-lapper. Overton Leads Outlaws Points After Sunshine Nationals!

(January 25, 2025) The three-day 'Sunshine Nationals' wrapped up tonight at Volusia Speedway Park and a $20,000 winner's check was on the line. With 57 Super Late Model entrants once again in the pit area, Cody Overton started off his evening by knocking down the second fastest lap in Group A during World of Outlaws time trials. Following a commanding heat race triumph, Cody wound up eleventh in the final finishing order of the 50-lap headliner. (January 24, 2025) After yesterday's rain-out, the annual running of the 'Sunshine Nationals' officially got underway tonight at Volusia Speedway Park in Barberville, Florida. A total of 57 World of Outlaws Late Model Series competitors converged on the Daytona Beach-area speedplant to do battle for the $12,000 first place prize. Cody Overton timed in twenty-second quickest in Group B during qualifying prior to placing fifth in his heat race and second in his B-Main. Cody then blasted past twenty competitors during the 35-lap main event en route to a stellar third place podium performance behind only victor Ryan Gustin and runner-up Jonathan Davenport!

(January 23, 2025) With Winter Storm Enzo producing hazardous driving conditions and road closures, along with heavy rain and cold temperatures impacting the Barberville, Florida-area, World of Outlaws Late Model Series and Volusia Speedway Park officials have canceled tonight's $12,000 to win 'Sunshine Nationals' opener.

Cody Overton Starts 2025 Campaign at Brunswick

(January 18, 2025) With the forecast for rain continuing throughout the evening hours, tonight's $25,000 to win Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series event at Golden Isles Speedway has been canceled. (January 17, 2025) The 2025 campaign for the Dave Steine Motorsports team got underway earlier this evening with the Super Bowl of Racing lid lifter at Golden Isles Speedway near Brunswick, Georgia. A total of 44 Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series competitors converged in the Peach State to vie for a $12,000 payday. Cody Overton timed in seventh quickest in Group A during qualifying prior to running fifth in his loaded heat race. Following a B-Main triumph, Cody ultimately wound up twenty-seventh in the final rundown of the 50-lap season lid lifter.
